Melissa lives with her loving husband and 3 fun children in Birmingham (the US one).

Illustrating for children has always been a passion for her. It's all for that moment when the caregiver and child both loose themselves in the story together; when the gap of age, knowledge, and material wealth melts away.

Her medium of choice is primarily watercolor and gouache, with a bit of soft pastel. She peruses the picture book medium hard; taking courses, attending workshops, always learning while trying to give it back in some new, unique way.
